The grant provides funding to women who are perusing a graduate education, and are preparing to advance their career, change their career, or reenter the workforce. Laura Tillman M.F.A. '13 signed a contract for her second book entitled, "The Hundred Lives of Lalo." The book details the life of chef Eduardo "Lalo" Garcia, whose odyssey raises larger questions about the relationship between the U.S. and Mexico, the immigrant experience, and the politics of Mexican food on the global stage.
