Fellows are usually placed in urban public schools where the demand for teachers is high. Fellows can draw upon their past experiences but are not required to have a traditional teaching degree.  Most programs offer paid training prior to the school year and ongoing support throughout the program, some offering support pursuing teaching credential at a local college or unversity.

Most programs are a one-year commitment and with deadlines typically fallin in October or November. Program benefits vary, but most paid positions with salary and benefits such as health insurance, housing assistance, and loan forgiveness.  Review each program in detail to learn more.
