The LAUNCH Scholars Network is designed to offer scholars support services, skills development and community building opportunities that will assist them in earning a degree and becoming who they are meant to be!

The LAUNCH Scholars Network is a cohort-based, comprehensive four-year initiative designed for first-generation and Pell Grant-eligible scholars at Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵ College. This program facilitates a smooth transition into college life, offers ongoing support throughout their academic journey, equips them with essential skills and opportunities for future career endeavors, and fosters a lifelong network extending far beyond graduation.

Scholars selected to join the LAUNCH Scholars Network will not incur out-of-pocket expenses for participation in the program.

Who are launch scholars

LAUNCH Scholars are individuals who are:

• Committed to being in the LAUNCH Scholars Network all four years.
• Committed to academic success and continued development.
• Willing to take advantage of the resources and opportunities offered by the program.

The program offers opportunities to:

• Build academic skills, independence, social connections, and a sense of belonging at Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵.
• Develop key skills in:
  • Writing, math, and preparation for other Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵ coursework
  • Networking and professional development
  • Time management, study skills, and organizational skills
• Utilization of Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵'s digital platforms
• Enjoy exclusive excursions in and around Baltimore that will provide opportunities to get to know the area.
• Regularly connect with a staff mentor emotional and practical support.
• Learn tips on navigating the college experience from upper class peer mentors.
• Move in before everyone else as a part of our Summer LAUNCH Program.
• Tap into the rich resources available at Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵ through integrated programing and opportunities for exclusive interaction with other offices and departments, such as:
  
  • Academic Center for Excellence (academic advising, coaching, and accessibility services)
  • Center for Race, Equity, and Identity (programming for underrepresented students)
  • Student Engagement (programming for student connection and involvement)
  • Office of Residential Life (supporting your on-campus living experience at Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵)
  • Career Education Office (supporting your entire career process, from part-time jobs to internships to post-Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵ plans)
