About the space

The Makerspace puts a full suite of digital fabrication tools and an electronics lab directly in your hands. Once you're trained, you're free to work independently on your own projects. The space features:

• a state-of-the-art Glowforge machine for precise wood and vinyl cutting — perfect for custom designs and artistic creations.
• multiple advanced 3D printers, so you can bring complex three-dimensional models and prototypes to life.
• a vinyl cutter, connected to design software, for crafting personalized decals and logos with professional precision.
• a 3D scanner for exploring digital art and turning physical objects into digital forms.
• an electronics lab for soldering and robotics projects — a hands-on environment to dig into circuitry and automation.
• essential woodworking tools, open to beginners and experienced makers alike.
• a sewing machine for textile projects, repairs, and creative fabric work.
• a heat press machine for custom t-shirts, tote bags, and other personalized apparel.

Large table areas give you room to spread out materials and assemble your creations, however messy the process gets.

Our student workers and staff are here to support your learning of the tools, so you can design and make on your own. Whether it's your first time or your fiftieth, we'll help you get comfortable, then get out of your way.

Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵ envisions the Makerspace as an evolving space, with new tools and capabilities on the way each semester — all in service of one goal: giving students the freedom to make things themselves.

A note on how we work: The Makerspace is a self-service, hands-on space — not a print shop. We're here to teach you the tools and support you as you make things yourself, but we aren't able to take orders for pickup or complete projects on your behalf.

Drop-In Hours

Come use the space on your own schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 3:30–6:30 p.m. Need a poster for a presentation, event, or project? Check out our poster printer guidelines and print it yourself.

Looking for a space for your club or organization to build something together? The Makerspace is a great fit for team projects, event prep, or just a fun team-building activity that gets everyone making with their hands. Bringing a Class to the Makerspace

Faculty are welcome to bring the Makerspace into their courses, with the goal of getting students building independently as quickly as possible:

Step 1: Consult with Staff. Not sure how to fit the Makerspace into your class? Let's brainstorm together.

Step 2: Staff Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵s Class. A Makerspace team member comes to your class to get students ready to use the space on their own.

Step 3: Class Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵s Makerspace. Students arrive with their files ready and get hands-on, doing the making themselves. Ready to get started? .
