The M.Ed. Program, with seven areas of specialization, meets the needs of today’s educators and their students by offering a 21st-century curriculum responsive to the challenges that educators and school leaders face each day. To understand the needs and motivations of students and help them overcome obstacles with learning across a range of school environments, educators require specialized preparation.
Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵’s M.Ed. Programs provide highly specialized preparation for educators who
work in classrooms, schools, community settings, and district offices, particularly
in the areas of special education, reading instruction, ESOL, and school leadership.
The program is designed to equip school professionals with the tools, skills, and
knowledge they need to lead, facilitate, and support student success and engagement.
The M.Ed. program is designed for licensed teachers who want to advance their classroom
practice and develop leadership skills. (The M.Ed. is not an initial pathway to licensure.
If you are seeking initial licensure, as a way of entering the teaching profession,

In each area of specialization, advanced graduate work may be pursued beyond the master's
degree to receive a professional development certificate. The total estimated program cost for the Master of Education program ranges from $22,000
- $30,000, based on the current tuition and fees for the 2025-2026 academic year. Acceptance to the program will be based on an evaluation of the applicant's work and
experience, essay, recommendation forms and transcripts. Applications are accepted
