Master of Education Specializations

The master of education and post-master's professional development certificate (PMC) programs include seven specializations to address the dynamic needs of educators and their students. The programs are designed to enhance an educator's knowledge and skills in specialized areas related to educational or athletic leadership, special education, and diverse-learner needs.

  4. Teaching English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) (MSDE-approved for ESOL licensure endorsement)
  5. Reading Instruction (MSDE-approved for Reading Specialist licensure)
  6. School Improvement Leadership (MSDE-approved program for Supervision of Instruction, Assistant Principal, Principal licensure)
  7. Special Education for Licensed Teachers (MSDE-approved for special education endorsement)
