Students are able to communicate in French at the high intermediate level in writing and speaking (according to ACTFL standards*). -

Students demonstrate in writing and speaking awareness of diverse modes of thinking and living (including relations of power) in the francophone world. -
Knowledge base, understanding, and interpretation.
Students demonstrate the ability to analyze a text with reference to the relations between form and content, its social and historical context, and diverse methods of textual interpretation.
