About This Exhibit

This exhibit was made possible through funding from the Sally Gilger Barnes '46 Archival Endowment that promotes the use of the Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵Archives by students and scholars and advances the historical record of Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵for present and future generations. Named for Sally Gilger Barnes, a 40-year volunteer who dedicated her time to various areas of the college, most especially Special Collections & Archives, the endowment was established in 2008 through generous donations from Sally's family and friends.

In 2008, the first recipient of the Barnes Endowment, Scott Davis '10, was awarded a special collections internship to develop this exhibit that reflects the rich history of Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵'s Towson Campus buildings and serves as an ongoing resource for the Ë®¹ûÅÉAV½â˵ and local communities.  As of August 2018, the Special Collections & Archives is in the process of updating the site to reflect more of the buildings on campus.
