  • The impact of education on recidivism. While the recidivism rate for the overall prison population is 76.6%, for those enrolled in a bachelor's program it is just 5.6%. This is especially important when we consider that 95% of those in prison will ultimately come home.
  • Critically, college in prison students help disrupt cycles of incarceration, inspire other family members to pursue their own academic endeavors, and become change agents in their community upon release .
